Often it helps to hear how other people have enjoyed the time they have spent somewhere, and we all know that word-of-mouth is the best advertising there is. What you will find on this page is cards, letters, and emails that folks have sent us after their stay at our Canadian Rockies guest ranch. They hopefully are a humble way for us to let others tell you about their stay at our working dude ranch near Banff, Alberta rather than us telling you ourselves.

Dear Jason,
To make you understand what a wonderful vacation it was that we had, my son said "When I'm older, this is where I want to live. Do you think I can get a job as a (stable) boy in the meantime?" P.S. Either we will be back or our references will!

Dear Jason and Marci,
Thank you for the wonderful day we spent with you. I will never look at a field of cows the same again. Thanks Jason for giving us city slickers your time. Larry was very impressed with your roping skills!

Dear Jason, Marci, Cherilyn, and Noah
It was a quiet car that left Red Deer River Ranches on Friday 31st of October. Our minds were occupied with memories of exciting times and our hearts were heavy, sad to be leaving our new found friends. Thankyou so such a special time and for sharing with us your day to day activities on the ranch. Kelly giggles and yee hahs on her special Eddie is my special memory. Dick relaxed at last and I discovered that he is a fantastic washer upper!! It was a good thing that his mobile didn't work, even if it did mean a lot of catching up when he got home. He really loved the river and the soothing sounds of the water as it bubbled over stones and pebbles. Roberto and Kelly loved everything and were full of stories on their return to school. Their cowboy gear and photos were shown to everyone. Your kindness and naturalness put us at ease and we immediately felt at home. We left feeling that we had truly made some special friends.
Lots of love and God bless,

Dear Jason,
I apologize this card is so late! Mel and I and our respective families want to thank you for the use of Red Deer River Ranches for our wedding and all you did to make it memorable for our guests. People can't stop talking about the setting, how perfect it was. We want to hire your Dad again and have another square dance next year-we absolutely loved it! It was an unforgettable experience for so many reasons-I don't know if you heard that the wedding rings didn't fit-(well mine)-and our friend took them into your tack room in the barn-found a hammer and put the ring on an anvil and started hammering it out. Thanks again, Jason. We can't wait to visit again.

Jason,
I hope the return of your towel finds you and your family healthy and happy. It was a stow away that I found upon my return home from one of the most fabulous experiences of my lilfe.
I would like to thank you Jason for your generosity of spirit and patience with the "city slickers" in the country. It's funny when you meet people who are centered and happy with who they are and what they do, it's infectious. The pancake breakfast was enough to sustain me through most of the summer. Back in the city I did not want to go back to the same ole, same ole. Got bit by the camera bug and decided to take acting classes, a life-long but buried passion of mine. I saw Michael once since our Red Deer River Ranch experience. A bunch of us went out for dinner. We both have fond and physical memories. Watching the show last week brought it all back. It was nice to see your pleasant face again. I hope you enjoyed. God bless.
From your cowgirl, keeping her eyes on the prize. Lots of love to you, Marci, and kids.

Dear Jason, Marci, Cherilyn, and Noah
Thank you so much for making our stay at the Red Deer River Ranches such an amazing time. Shannon and I just loved every minute and so enjoyed the freedom to explore and see so much ‘new' country! We can hardly wait ‘till next year! I'm pretty sure we'll have to stay longer next time though! We just couldn't get enough. It was so wonderful getting to know you all better and look forward to many more campfire chats.
Blessings on your wonderful family!

Thanks again for an unforgettable (and rather chilly) experience! You, the ranch, the horses and your dad were wonderful! We wish England was a bit closer. All our best wishes for the future.

Courtesy of our son, Jeffery Errmann, who "earned" our stay at this very special place, we hiked the hills and valleys of this Alberta Foothill jewel. At the boundary of mankind and wilderness a ranch seems the best compromise. This is where we mix, wild and domestic. Let's keep it that way, we have gone far enough. Handcrafted logs speak of skill and love of labour-cattle calls for the handout of hay, swallows fly in search of food, tractors hum and horses whinney or ney? Is this heaven? Almost, as wolves and grizzlies don't fit in that mix and my wife yells at me that I have not done my chores!
Thanks,
Peter and Christine Errmann
