Red Deer River Ranches has for sale a number of captured and home raised Alberta Wild Horses. For the past five years we have been using our herd sire Spirit, caught just four miles from the home place, to breed both captured wild mares as well as domestic mares. His get are just like their daddy, lots of bone, great feet, gentle demeanor, trainability, flashy color, and the muscle and strength that typify the hardy hybrid found in these feral horses. Alberta good all 'round working horses. They are smart, gentle, and great feed converters. Own your own piece of Alberta history by having one of these unique-to-Alberta animals in your own remuda.

Wuz

Wuz will be one of once in a lifetime horses. I have ridden him just 5 times this summer and he'll do whatever you ask him. He has a great mind, like his daddy, has good solid wildie feet and bone structure and stands at about 14.3HH. He will make a great ranch horse as nothing bothers him and he has very good problem solving skills. He will also make a great mountain horse for someone as he has the wildie blood and is surefooted. If he ends up staying at the ranch he will become one of our working ranch horses for sure.

Spirit - Wild Stallion of the Williams Creek

This wild stallion has been touched only once by human hand. He carries all the hybrid vigour these feral horses are famous for. He stands at about 15.3 hands, has well structured bone, big hard feet, good back, good hips, and great buckskin colouring. He has a gentle demeanor and shows to have trainable characteristics and passes these traits well to his offspring.

Stud fees are $200 for two months pasture breeding.
